That is a weird question because why it does it matter. If you want something small and effective a 38 is good. You could go with a .22 Mag or .22 to keep it a little more quiet and it will still kill a person. If you go 357 mag you risk killing others but you get some serious knock down, similar with the 357SIG as it has roughly the same velocity but a little lower punch to it. The VA state cops and I believe a number of Government Agencies use the SIG Sauer P229 in a 357SIG, which also happens to be the gun I carried. For me it would really depend on what my intentions were, if I wanted to pop the guy too probably a 22 since I can use subsonic and silence it and it will be less noticeable. If you are wanting something to defend yourself against cops when they catch you probably a 45.
I’m still just sorta surprised by the search and even more that it led them to my site. So for the next person who searches for that take my advice, use a tank, at least then you have a chance of winning the shootout.
