Come on baby light my fire….actually don’t
We are having horrible wind today, it is supposed to be up to 50-60mph and the power started surging. Well after my computer restarted a couple time (yeah time for a battery backup) and our power was off we noticed smoke. A grass/forest fire was started from a line hitting a tree and arcing. So I had to run out and try to prevent the entire forest from going up in flames. Luckily I was able to keep the fire from jumping into the woods, it mainly burned some grass and some limbs on the edge of the forest. The fire department showed up after I had almost all of it out. So I am right now without power and typing this from my laptop. Finally dialup has proven useful.
While doing a Google search for how someone may have found my information I came across a website called Meet Up, which lists groups that are meeting up all over the world. It looks like there is an Arabic speaker in Charlottesville that is interested in helping others so I may be able to get some help learning and give them someone to speak to. I believe I will also look into starting a couple internet meetups since there are currently none listed for the Lexington area.
