Celebrate Death?

Some of you may know that I am currently back at home to help my mom out and the situation sucks, but there was a phone call from a friend of hers who happens to be a Jehovah’s witness. In the message she says, “I wanted to know if you would like to come to service with us to celebrate the death of Christ”. If I remember Easter was more about celebrating the resurrection of Christ. You have a good thing, the returning of someone who has died and you have a bad thing, the death of someone. So it sounds a little screwed up to me to celebrate the death of a person. Maybe she spoke incorrectly, but that will forever be burned into my mind as a really screwed up message.
