Rack Project Updates
I received a 2U case I purchased on Ebay along with a Netgear RM356. A number of you know I am on dialup in my current location and I don’t think anyone hates dialup more than I do, but the options just aren’t there. The RM356 is like an external modem only it doesn’t rely on a computer it can be connected at all times while no computers are on. I bought this for a few reasons. I could have bought an external modem or a modem that worked for linux, but I am trying my to configure everything so that when I do move I can just swap cables and I will have broadband with no useless hardware in my machines or configuration changes. The 2U case kinda sucks, but thats ok, I can use it for a colo and it won’t matter. I also received my advance replacement for the 2nd 500gb Seagate; it was clicking every so many minutes. I have a long list of things left to buy, I am still waiting on my 24 port 10/100 switch the owner was called out of town for business.
