Why do people use MySpace?

For some reason so many people hate myspace, but at the same time use it. I have an account and I did the DIV overlay thing, but in terms of actually using the site for more than just a way to get to this one that won’t happen unless the thing gets cleaned up. I hate MySpace with a passion and realize this more and more every time I visit. I was sending a couple friends messages, friends that I can’t seem to contact through any other means, and it really is just a ad covered mess where profiles look like shit and people put webling (Bling Bling on the Web) all over the place. It might as well be email considering all the invitations and comments from people about survey filling for a job and how I can sleep with this person if I just visit their site. I guess I feel this way because I am not a 13 year old girl or one of them men stalking them. The past few times I have received friend requests I have reported the bad ones to MySpace just to do my part in cleaning up that horrible site. I think these 13 year old girls should worry less about the boys, learn some stuff in school and make your own website and for the stalkers…well I have a long list of “interrogation” techniques that would help them get their priorities straight.
