Rules of life

I have only a few
Trust nobody, including yourself
This is important and if you think about it is a very valid rule. You may say you will handle a situation a certain way, and you may even feel that under no circumstances would you deviate from how you think you will handle a situation. In reality, unless you have been in that exact situation before you do not know how you will truly react. I assume there are some you can trust, but if there is a chance you may not react the way you “know” you will do you think you should really be giving a person your ultimate trust?
If you are early you are on time, if you are on time you are late, if you are late you shouldn’t have shown up
Being punctual is very important and in a lot of cases can be controlled. When I have an appointment and I have time to kill before, why kill that time at home? If it is a place I have never been I should leave early anyway, but sitting in the parking lot or driving around the area isn’t going to hurt you; showing up late can.
The rest of my rules are as they said in the Pirates of the Caribbean, “more like guidelines” and not nearly as important as the two above.
